Job Summary

The Department of Kinesiology at the University of San Francisco invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 2018. This position seeks candidates from the area of kinesiology with an emphasis on motor behavior.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate level lecture courses such as Motor Learning, Motor Development, Introduction to Kinesiology, and other courses related to the candidate’s area of expertise. The expected teaching load for this position at USF is two 4-unit courses per semester with an additional third course once over two years (e.g. 2-2-2-3). The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a focused area of scholarship in motor behavior or related area and be involved in scholarly projects with students. Additional responsibilities include advising and mentoring undergraduate students and service to the university, community, and profession.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in motor behavior completed prior to August 2018. A strong record of teaching at the university level, evidence of scholarship, and an understanding of and commitment to support the mission of the University of San Francisco are required.
